Sleep Serenity

When I can't sleep

And thoughts run through my mind

I feel as if a group of bees

has occupied my head

Buzzing non-stop...

I tell myself to go away

Go away to the place

To my place

To the beach, I call serenity

Where I find myself time and time again

Gazing at the wide calm beautiful sea

And as I close my eyes...

I tell myself to feel the gentle breeze

As if it is trying to cup my face

As if it was giving me a soft embrace

To feel my skirt, chasing the wind

As if it is asking me to run away

And forget the problems of reality

To hear the soft howl of the wind

As if it’s whispering to me

To let go and let it be

And so I let go...

And trust the air around me

And I succumb

To the breeze and to the wind

I let serenity take me

Away from reality

To the dream, I was meant to see

For jasmine, the one that inspired me to post this
